I have found a great way to let someone know you intend to stay in touch with them and help them is by letting them know that I will connect with them on Linkedin and Facebook as well. If they are familiar with these sites, it starts a great conversation on how they use them to stay connected to customers. If they don't use them, it starts a great conversation on how it can help them. They are usually grateful for some tips.
